saturday, july 31

after an entirely two months too long of not hanging out, we went to kyle and jamie's for kason's birthday party. he is one of the smartest two-year-olds i know and such a cutie. check out the awesome cupcakes and tower that jamie made!

friday, july 30

i made a little progress on unpacking and decorating today. yes, a grainy picture of half of a bookcase counts as progress.

thursday, july 29

today only was $1.50 cheesecake day thanks to a deal with the cheesecake factory and facebook. after a dinner at home, we treated ourselves to delicious dessert and coffee to take advantage of this awesome deal. i was able to make it even more worthwhile because it was also the first day to try the new reese's chocolate peanut butter cheesecake! yum!

wednesday, july 28

i got to take a tour of the blue bell factory today with the garrett kids, the snelgrove girls, katy, and katherine. i was so excited to experience this little bit of texas i had yet to see. plus, who doesn't love to get free bluebell ice cream on a hot summer day!?

tuesday, july 27

we went back to minute maid park for game #2 of the cubs vs. astros. katy joined us tonight, as well. these are a couple of shots i got from the other side of the field.

monday, july 26

the cubs are (well, were) in town!lee tried to avoid a picture, but i succeed. we got awesome seats in the crawford boxes for a great price. the crawford boxes are a group of seats in the section of the stadium that stick out closer to the field and make it much easier for batters to hit homeruns. speaking of homeruns, we witnessed a nice one right into the crawford boxes by ryan theriot. here he is strolling back to home plate afterward.

sunday, july 25

oh, the moving process. so many boxes. so many trips up three flights of stairs. yep, we now live on the third floor. at least we get a tiny dose of daily exercise every time we come and go! i do promise no more pictures of boxes :)

saturday, july 24

our last day in apartment 425. this is probably my most favorite apartment i have ever lived in, in terms of layout. by far, it was the most spacious one bedroom i have ever seen. it was a great first home for us to share in texas.

friday, july 23

packing, packing, and more packing...

thursday, july 22

we took a break from everything and went to see inception today. mind-blowing movie! although, i'm sure you know that since it seems EVERYONE saw this movie and had the same reaction to it.

also, happy 2o months of marriage to us!

wednesday, july 21

the packing process begins! we also began the apartment search and narrowed it down on tuesday when i signed my contract. we went back, chose the one we liked the best, and came home to start packing.

tuesday, july 20

my paperwork for my new contract for this year. pretty soon, i'll be back to teaching algebra II and math models!

monday, july 19

my sad attempt at a picture of the beautiful sunset we saw that night. i may or may not have been driving, but in my defense, the light was red when i got my phone out to take the picture.

sunday, july 18

even though it may not look like much, this is a hamper full of "folded" CLEAN clothes. many thanks to walter and emily for letting us use their washer and dryer. until we moved, we did not have a washer and dryer because we sold them back in may. therefore, i felt like i was back in college every time we went to visit someone this summer because i was always bringing along our dirty clothes!

saturday, july 17

the carnival party for jonah and emma was a blast. i still think it was one of the most fun kid parties i have ever been to!eva seemed to enjoy it too. think she's a fan of watermelon?!

friday, july 16

arriving in louisiana just in time for dinner, there was only one option worth considering...

thursday, july 15

the waco zoo!

since this post was so picture heavy, i will just choose one to represent the day here. i'm such a dork...although katy took this picture when i asked her to take one of me AND one of the kids.

wednesday, july 14

i. heart. school supplies. and great deals.G2 pens are my favorite. they were $0.19/pack!

tuesday, july 13

i forget the official name of these, but thanks to emily for the recipe for these crescent roll apple yummies! i have been making desserts for bible study quite often this summer and keeping the leftovers for us, but these were just for us. :) they made for a great snack or even breakfast!

monday, july 12

somebody got their first sunburn of the summer...ouch!

sunday, july 11

look what arrived recently! it's official! this is one time in life when i am not ashamed to say i am proud of the hard work i put into this. i am so thankful that i am officially and finally done with ALL school!
