working out. lee is much more diligent than i am. he even lifts weights sometimes while we are sitting and watching tv. once i actually do it, i am so glad i did. i just have to work on a bit more workout self-motivation, but i'm trying!

it was patriot's day at lee's school today. "what is patriot's day," you may ask, "and why are you celebrating it randomly in january?"

according to lee's school, it is the study of how america came to be. i did not find out why they learn about and celebrate freedom and our country's independence in january, but i guess we do not have to have a reason to be patriotic.

the 5th grade gave a wonderful presentation of the story through the revolutionary war and our nation's independence.

let me be honest. i have occasionally forgotten to take a picture EVERY single day thus far. however, i have not lied about any photo applying to a certain day...i just sometime take them a day late.

therefore, i can honestly say that i cleaned our closet up a bit on wednesday, january 6, and we can now walk all the way to the back...something we had not been able to do due to decorations coming down and winter clothes coming out/summer clothes going away. i just did not take the picture on january 6.

also, this shot does do justice to how our closet is organized but does maybe give you some idea of just how awesomely big our closet is. we have no coat closet or outside storage in this apartment, but it does not matter because this closet is so huge. ah, i love a huge closet :)

of all the trips to college station, i had never seen the bonfire memorial until this past one. it is a very special site to see and a very nice tribute to those students whose lives were lost ten years ago.
