many thanks to continental airlines for enough of a delay on ben and shauna's flight from san francisco to baton rouge that we were able to hang out with them for a couple of hours last night!
lee started work this at his new school. they were so gracious to give him a few days to set up his room and create lesson plans. here is a hint of his new classroom:
with baseball season coming close to an end, mlb attire and gifts went on sale. lee found a cubs shirt he can wear in the wintertime to continue showing his support. his purchase arrived today!
we ended the weekend with mr joe with breakfast at humble city cafe. humble city cafe reminds me a lot of the city cafe in northport that i miss dearly. they specialize in good, home-cooked food...although i can only personally attest to their breakfast.
what a fun, special weekend. we can't wait for him to come back to visit again!
texas a&m and louisiana tech played each other this year in football so it was the perfect game for lee and his dad to attend together. we met up with katy, the garretts, and the benolkens in college station. after experiencing step off for the first time, we headed to the stadium for a special 9/11 tribute pre-service special. it wasn't the prettiest game for the aggies, but they did pull out the w in the end.
mr joe came to spend the weekend with us. after a round of golf for the guys, we all went to dinner at pei wei...mr joe's first time. we also gave him the opportunity to experience tutti frutti. sadly, there are no pictures from the evening.
