monday, february 1

our life-saver on the days we leave school late, know we are going to get stuck in insane houston 5 o'clock traffic, and still want a delicious dinner:(please ignore the fact that the mirror is missing in this photo, and don't worry, we still drive safely without it) :)

sunday, january 31

to take a nap or not take a nap? that is the question of every sunday afternoon :)

saturday, january 30

one of our favorite areas in houston is the westheimer/galleria area. in this one area of town, you can find the galleria, the waterwall, le peep (awesome breakfast!), and cafe adobe. (awesome mexican!) i particularly love the look and feel of this entire area and how it changes for each area down westheimer. isn't this a fun way to do the street signs? maybe one day i will be able to take this shot from the ground and not through the car window!

friday, january 29

most of our friday nights that are not spent out of town visiting family and friends often include dinner out somewhere and relaxing after a long work-week. this friday night we ventured to target to see if we could take advantage of any great deals and for lee to use his birthday gift card. we did leave with a few items but not before we had some fun on the dollar-item aisles!

wednesday, january 27

my plan was to take a picture of this meal, but sometimes we are so hungry that we just eat faster than i can remember to take a picture so i am including the recipe. i love this website because it offers such great, healthy recipes, and this is one of my favorite meals. it is the perfect serving size to fill us up and not have any go to waste. try it for yourself!

tuesday, january 26

please remove the two women you see in the middle of this screen near the stage and insert beth moore in their place. yep, i am attending beth moore's bible study at houston's first baptist church with some wonderful girls from our church, champion forest baptist church. i am really enjoying this study and digging deeper into the life of david. if you have never done this study or a study on david, i highly recommend it. the story of david and his journey to becoming king of israel is one we can all learn something from.

(sorry, i did not want to be that person and snap an actual photo of beth when she came out. ha!)

monday, january 25

i know it seems silly to post without a picture, but i wanted to say that my intention was to post a picture of the kroger we shop at sometimes because i actually went grocery shopping on a monday night. we normally do our grocery shopping sunday afternoon/evening, but that did not happen this week. i will take one and add it to this day.

sunday, january 24

this is the current series we are in at church. pastor flemming is in the process of an in-depth look at God's story throughout the Bible. i am excited about this series because i am currently reading the Bible chronologically and love extra insight along the way. after 4 weeks, we are in the early stages of the life of moses...such an exciting story with so much more still to come!

friday, january 23

only in texas will you see a giant generator moving down the highway toward its final destination of small town, texas, stopping all traffic in its vicinity, and even causing onlookers to watch from the overpass...

friday, january 22

lee's birthday cake from a student who has the same birthday!
